Drug Awareness program-2025
Introduction:
A Drug Awareness Program was organized at SJES College of Nursing on 28/02/2025 with the aim of sensitizing students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free campus environment.
Objectives:
- To educate students on the dangers of drug use and addiction
- To encourage healthy lifestyle choices
- To create awareness about the legal and social consequences of drug abuse
Program Highlights:
Welcome Address:
The event began with a welcome speech by Veena Ma’am (Vice
Principal of SJES College of Nursing), who emphasized the importance of awareness in preventing drug abuse
Guest Speaker:
Sohapa Sir (Circle Inspector, KR Puram), shared his insights and real-life experiences. Sir discussed:
Types of commonly abused drugs
Psychological and physical eects of drug use
Legal consequences and social impacts Methods of prevention and seeking help Interactive Q&A sessions were held.
Outcome:
The program was successful in increasing awareness about drug abuse and its consequences.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a commitment to promoting a drug-free environment.
