WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY

Introduction

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health challenge globally,  affecting millions of people each year. We 3rd year Bsc nursing and GNM  students of our nursing college organized a seminar for Tuberculosis on  07.04.2025 We are aimed to promote health awarenesses and education among  students and community members and we are committed to addressing the  health needs of our community, including the prevention and control of  infectious diseases like Tuberculosis.  The event was coordinated by the HOD of Community department  Mrs. Veena ma’am

Objectives 

1) To raise awareness about TB 

2) To share knowledge and best practices in TB prevention, diagnosis,  treatment, and control, including community-based initiatives and  innovative approaches.  

3) To identify challenges and opportunities in TB control. 

4) To promote collaboration and coordination among healthcare  professionals, community members. 

5) To inform policy and programming related to TB prevention and control.

Conclusion

The tuberculosis seminar highlighted the importance of working together to  address the challenges of TB. By collaborating, coordinating, and engaging with  communities, we can make progress in preventing, diagnosing, and treating TB,  and ultimately reducing the burden of this disease
